Videos of FiddleBop

We'll start with one of our own. Jo's bluesy self-penned song 'Thirteen-and-a-half Days in the Desert', live at Chippy Jazz 2011. Dave explains where the title came from...

By the way: all our Chippy Jazz videos were all recorded in the garden of the Red Lion pub in Chipping Norton, by Rebecca Watts.

Minor Swing, composed by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and made famous by their band, the 'Hot Club of France'. The tune is now a gypsy jazz classic, played here by FiddleBop at at Chippy Jazz 2011. This is quite a fast version!

Jo's self-penned (as you can guess from the title) 'Jo's Gypsy Jazz Tune 1' at Chippy Jazz 2011. (We really must think of a better name for this!) The recording cuts off before the end, which is a pity.

A laid back one now. The Irish traditional tune 'Give Me Your Hand' given a jazz feeling, at Chippy Jazz 2011.

Time for some stomp! John Mayall's 'Crawling Up a Hill' at Chippy Jazz 2011: this is about as rhythm-and-bluesy as we get.

More chill out: 'Night and 'Day at Chippy Jazz 2011. As always, Dave does a fine job of gurning whilst playing his fiddle. But here he also inexcusably walks in front of Jo, to grab a pint, when she starts singing.

A folky pair: St Thomas (originally a Caribbean folk tune, jazzified by Sonny Rollins) with the Irish reel Drowsy Maggie. Live at Chippy Jazz 2011.
